|Key Factors in Postgraduate Research - A Guide for Students was
originally published in 1999 and revised in 2004. In 2013 it was revised
again and is now in its 3rd Edition.
The book is specifically aimed at postgraduate research students
undertaking studies at levels ranging from Master's degree to Doctoral level.
It is also applicable to final-year undergraduate students undertaking thesis
work as a significant part of their assessment. The book covers
comprehensively a range of issues, from the relationship between the
student and supervisor, through to thesis structuring and writing.
Since its initial release in 1999, many thousands of copies of this book have
been in use in universities around the world. The feedback from research
students has been overwhelmingly positive and many have commented that it
has made the task of undertaking a postgraduate research program
considerably more straightforward.
